Great joy with great cause
Some Columbus FSC members skated at Obetz outdoor rink today to kick off the community holiday celebration. Their exhibition, along with other Chiller skaters’ performance attracted hundreds of speculators. It was the highlight of this Christmas tree lighting event. This is a great example of how our club gives back to the community. Job well done, girls!

Get to know our Sectional ice dancer, Joy Davis
Having a dream to be a top ice dancer, our club member Joy Davis relocated to west side of the county for partnership opportunity in 2013. She and her partner competed Intermediate Ice Dance at Pacific Coast Sectionals last week and are gearing up for next season.
Joy has been Columbus FSC club member since 2011. Before relocation, she was coached by Diane Huston locally. Joy passed all her MIFs tests. It is worth to mention that she passed her last three tests (Novice, Junior, and Senior) within 5 months. This is a very impressive achievement. Although residing in Arizona, Joy is proud of representing Columbus FSC in all her competitions.
Good luck Joy in her future ice dance training.

CFSC judges’ camel riding adventure in Morocco dessert
Recently coming back from Morocco, our club long term dedicated judges and supporters, Bob and Marcia Ouellette cannot wait to share their wonderful experience at the stunning Morocco desserts and mountains. Certainly, neither the camel or the guide knows anything about skating, it did not prevent our judges from having great time with them.
Picture was taken during their camel ride break.
Greetings from Germany!
Anna B. skated in the “Weihnachts-Schaulaufen” (holiday show) this past Saturday. She’s skating with the Germering Wanderers in Germering, a small town outside of Munich. Anna is enjoying skating in Germany, but it is really different from back home. The family sends their greetings and best wishes for the New Year!

Judges can have fun outside the rink!
If you think skating judges lives revolve around critiquing performances at the rink, think again. Columbus Figure Skating Club members and judges, Robert and Marcia Ouellette, recently
returned from a trip to South East Asia. Pictured here, the adventure seeking couple is seen riding on the back of an elephant! We are so happy they returned safely to judge our latest test session!
