Skaters representing the Columbus Figure Skating Club compete in U.S. Figure Skating’s Eastern Great Lakes Region, one of three regions in the Midwest Section. The Eastern Great Lakes Region includes lower peninsula Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. Top four Singles skaters at each qualifying level (Juvenile through Senior) advance from Regionals to Sectionals to US Nationals.
Regionals are held each October and include qualifying events for Juvenile through Senior level, as well as nonqualifying events for other levels. Unlike Singles, Pair and Dance teams begin their competitive qualifying season at Sectionals, which is typically held in November.Below are some club highlights from past qualifying seasons:
