Columbus FSC is excited to offer 1.5hr Figure Skating Enrichment classes & Program practice this summer! Registration is now open to all skaters, Beginners through Advanced, of AT LEAST BASIC 3 LEVEL. We will offer 4 weeks of Turns & Edges, Power Skating, and Program practice:
Sundays, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, & 6/25
12:30-1:15 pm Program Practice
1:15-2pm Turns & Edges followed by Power Skating
Or Program Practice after Enrichment class
Cost: $120 for 4 weeks
Each week, Senior coaches will lead a 45 minute Enrichment class preceded by 45 minutes of Program Practice or Program Practice after. Skaters will be grouped by similar levels.
Class Descriptions:
Turns & Edges: Skating skills class teaching edge quality, turn technique, and foundational skills development.
Power Skating: Patterns and drills that focus on a skater’s speed, power, and endurance.
Program Practice: Competition-style group warm up followed by individual program practice with music. If time allows, skaters will be able to run their program more than once. This gives skaters the opportunity to practice their competitive program alone on the ice, in front of a low-pressure audience and build confidence.
