If a skater with an Ice Contract needs to miss a session, the Contract Ice Absence Form needs to be completed at least 12 hours before the session to receive credit.
Skaters are allowed two (2) absences per contracted day, combined into one total number of absences allowed for the contract period. Absences can occur on any contracted day. Exceptions are allowed for illness and injury.
For example, if a skater contracts club ice sessions on Mondays and Sunday, they receive four (4) total absences for the contract period. The skater knows they will be out of town for competitions on 4 of the 8 Sundays during their contract period. The skater may use all four absences for those Sundays and will receive credit for each missed session, if the skater submitted a Contract Ice Absence Form at least 12 hours before each planned absence.
Credits will be provided on a blue punch card, issued by the Ice Chair. The punch card will reflect only the number of credits earned for the missed sessions, and may be used for any club ice session. Please note, when using a blue punch card, if a session reaches capacity the skater’s priority will be the same as all other punch card holders.
